SYS-CON announced today that Jeremy Geelan was named President & COO of Cloud Expo, Inc. "Cloud Expo, Inc." was spun out of SYS-CON Events, Inc. as a startup events management company that produces and presents Cloud Expo (TM) events worldwide.

From 2000-6, as first editorial director and then group publisher of SYS-CON Media, Geelan was responsible for the development of all new titles and i-Technology portals for the firm. He's founder of Cloud Computing Journal, Web 2.0 Journal, AJAX & RIA Journal and other leading SYS-CON titles.
Cloud Expo, Inc. launched Cloud Expo (TM) events in 2007, and is currently producing Cloud Expo East, Cloud Expo West, Cloud Expo Europe, Cloud Expo Tokyo, Cloud Expo Prague, Cloud Expo Hong Kong, and Cloud Expo São Paulo. All Cloud Expo marks and trademarks are registered trademarks of Cloud Expo, Inc. worldwide.

Cloud Expo, Inc. will continue producing and presenting "Cloud Expo," which was launched on February 24, 2007, by SYS-CON Events, Inc., the same day the term "cloud computing" was coined. That same year, the first Cloud Expo took place in New York City with 450 delegates.
"Cloud Expo has become the leading global cloud computing event as Cloud has become synonymous with "computing" and "software" in three short years," said Fuat Kircaali, founder and chairman of Cloud Expo, Inc. "Cloud Expo is the new PC Expo, Comdex, and InternetWorld of our decade. By 2012, more than 50,000 delegates will participate annually in Cloud Expo New York, Silicon Valley, Prague, Tokyo, Hong Kong and São Paulo shows."
"The creation of Cloud Expo, Inc. bears eloquent testimony to the rise and rise of the Cloud's important to Enterprise IT," said Jeremy Geelan. "As CIOs and VPs of Infastructure and IT move from asking 'What?' and 'Why?' to asking 'How?' and 'When?' it is clear from our ever-climbing attendance figures how greatly they appreciate a regular, large-scale event aimed at helping them move from theory into practice. At Cloud Expo, no matter where in the world the show may be held, attending delegates can move easily between Breakout and General sessions and visit our jam-packed Expo Floor to actually tire-kick solutions and services and ask questions related to their specific business requirements and concerns."
