Healthagen Introduces iTriage Web Version to Further Empower Healthcare Consumers

Building upon the success of its iTriage® smart phone application, Healthagen™, a developer of healthcare information software, today introduced the new web-based iTriage version.

Healthcare consumers can now access current healthcare information using the iTriage interactive technology by logging onto www.iTriageHealth.com. All features of the iTriage smart phone application are included, as well as new features that expand consumer healthcare information, by allowing users to explore:

  • Specific diseases, and medical procedures
  • Symptoms and their possible causes
  • Appropriate treatment locations
  • Relative healthcare cost information for acute care
  • Images/Videos edited for appropriate content by medical professionals
  • Social media discussions on the researched medical topic, and more

"With the web-based version of iTriage, healthcare consumers can access over 1 million web pages of unique medical content at one web location. Healthagen takes pride in helping consumers make more informed medical decisions with up-to-date healthcare information in convenient and accessible formats, and this introduction puts that information in more hands,” said Wayne Guerra, M.D., M.B.A., Chief Medical Officer, Healthagen.

After releasing the iTriage application for iPhone, other smart phones, and iPod Touch in March and June 2009, iTriage soared to the top 10% of all downloaded applications, proving that consumers are proactive in their healthcare decisions and demanding more resources. Both the iTriage application and the new desktop web version link consumers to healthcare facilities by providing:

  • Treatment locations, sorted by distance from the consumer’s zip code, IP address, or GPS location
  • Expanded facility descriptions and more interactive content for premier hospital, urgent care, retail clinic, and physician listings
  • Healthcare facilities new and innovative ways to reach potential patients

"iTriage improves upon conventional healthcare search engine results by providing quick, focused healthcare information in terms consumers can decipher and use,” said Peter Hudson, M.D., CEO, Healthagen.

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things').
