CloudBerry Lab has started a beta testing program for CloudBerry Online Backup - an application that allows users to backup their data online to their Amazon S3 accounts.
Disaster recovery planning is often times an afterthought that comes to light when disaster strikes. Very seldom do companies fully recover from loss of critical data which could lead to loss of business. CloudBerry Backup provides a powerful Backup and Restore product designed to leverage Amazon S3 reliable and secure online storage to make your disaster recovery plan simple, reliable, and affordable.
CloudBerry Backup is a backup product that you can easily install and configure. Backup Wizard will help you setup and schedule your first backup plan in minutes. Intuitive interface provides easy file and folder selection capabilities. Scheduling capabilities automate the backup process.
As you work with your computer you create more files on your hard disk, CloudBerry Backup will automatically pickup new files and copy them to backup storage. What's more, it will also recognize modified files and copy them as versions and you will be able to restore a file to a particular point in time. Strong data encryption protects your data from unauthorized access
In the event of data loss Restore Wizard will help you to find the file(s) in online storage and recover them within minutes.
CloudBerry Backup is designed to work on Windows 2000/XP/Vista. Microsoft PowerShell command line interface allows advanced computer users integrate backup and restore plans with other routines.
CloudBerry Backup is currently in beta and prices will be announced later. CloudBerry Backup will be offered for free to students, educational institutions and non-profit organizations. Amazon S3 charges are applicable.
